WASSCE registration fees GH¢465 remain free -Dr. Eric Nkansah

The Ghana Education Service has advised parents of public Senior High School students not to pay the GH¢465 registration fee for the 2024 WASSCE. This fee, previously announced by West African Examinations Council (WAEC), is absorbed by the Government’s Free Senior High School initiative says the Director of GES.

The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr Eric Nkansah made this known to the public in a media engagement revealed that

“All students with our government secondary schools under the Free SHS programme are not going to pay that GH¢465 because it has already been absorbed by the Free SHS programme.”

In our previous publication, we indicated that WAEC has opened its registration portals for the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), West African Senior Schools Certificate Examination (WASSCE), and Genera/Advanced Business Certificate Examination candidates.
